I have a 93 set and I noticed my engine has a bump or more bum bum from the rear manifold area and think the exhaust is leaking from there into the passenger area . The engine is louder than normal.

If it's the donut it needs to be replaced. But you need to either look at the exhaust yourself or get it looked at somewhere to find out exactly where the leak is coming from and what's causing it to actually fix it. All we can do is guess.

So here's the update the donut was broken in half .they said when my engine mounts where bad in my last repair the engine rocking must have cut the donut leaving the loud engine noise I was hearing . So half of the donut was in my exhaust

WOW - that's really high -

the gasket is a $10 part - call it $20 with a big mark-up -
and 160 for labor - that's 1 1/2 hours labor -
for a 30 minute job -

I'm do Monroe's and have a shop I've been looking at install them. I was going to attempt to do it but I've seen how the front ones have to be adjusted and the rear ones looks kind of easy tho

here is a little food for thought -
YES - you will need an alignment after replacing the struts -

the front struts must be disassembled using a spring compressor -
you could remove the struts yourself -
take them to a shop and have them disassemble - and reassemble them -
OR this might be a better choice -
just buy the complete strut assembly -
