Hello All,

I am a new owner of a 93 Eldorado Touring Cpe
Love the car just have to get used to a couple of bugs. It has a hard time slowing down when you take your foot off the accel. Other than that you just can't beat the ride and comfort.

Thanks for all the great info on the forum.

Welcome aboard, unless you're just not used to that type of car and it's low drag, "glide" on trailing throttle (better MPG etc), you could have a binding throttle cable. Pull it out of overdrive to engage the over-run clutch pack and see if it slows down more to your liking when you release the throttle.

Welcome to the CadillacForums!

What happens when you try to slow down?
If I am cruising around 40-50 mph and let up on the accel. it slows down to about 40mph and kind of hangs there forever unless I step on the brake. At a stop it also acts like it can't find its base idle.It acts like you really have to step on the brake to hold it back. It idles over 800 rpm in drive sometimes.

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
