Hi All, I have a 93 Coupe Deville, 78k miles, that I need advice on.
During the first cold start of the day, after I shift the car into Drive and begin rolling, the speedometer does not move and the transmission slips significantly. After several minutes and approximately 1-2 miles, the speedometer begins to read accurately and the transmission stops slipping and feels tight again.
Trouble codes reveal
E75 - Vehicle Speed Sensor(VSS) Signal Interrupt
AND OCCASIONALY
E24 - Vehicle Speed Sensor(VSS) Circuit Problem (usually after high revving while the transmission is slipping)
My big question…. Is the VSS sensor causing my transmission to slip, or is the transmission slippage causing the VSS codes and temporary speedometer inoperability? :suspense: :suspense: :suspense:
Obviously, one fix is going to be much easier and far less expensive than the other so I'm really hoping to find out that a bad VSS sensor would cause my transmission to slip like that.
Any opinions and information would be greatly appreciated.
