I hope someone can help save this car for me. I love my Caddy but if she needs a new tranny, our love affair is over. I was at a stop light and my DeVille was standing still and revving...no forward movement, no reverse, no shifting at all! Stranded. I checked the trans fluid and it was pretty dry. I had to push her in neutral to a corner and leave her. What could it be? Never had a problem with the trans, no warning, not even slightest hint of a problem there. I've been reading the posts and I've been seeing mentions of shift solenoids. Any possibility? She's a 4.9L and God bless her, has 214,000 in the rear-view. PLEASE HELP ME! I don't want to see her go. Thanks.

First things first. If the tranny is dry add the proper amount of fluid. Check for leaks. It most likely will then move once it does then check and add fluid if neccessay again.
