I noticed today when warming my car up that the security light stayed on. We got an ice storm yesterday and the car was pretty well iced over; so much that when I went to close the door it wouldn't catch. The light went out after the car warmed up and I restarted the car. I didn't have any issues starting the car, so I am thinking that it might be something with ice in the door latch. Any ideas?

Usually the light will only stay illuminated with the door open and the alarm armed. That way when you shut the door light goes off and its armed.

Does this keep happening or was it a one time thing?

What happens to the light if you press unlock on the keyfob or unlock the doors using the key (both should deactivate the alarm)
