I went to start my car up this morning and it would not turn over; no crank but it did sound like the fuel pump was priming. I did notice the security light came on. I did tighter the battery connections and I tried another key and it started right up, it even started up with the original key after I started with other key. My question is if it was a vats issue would the fuel pump still prime? I always thought that the fuel pump was supposed to disable. I tested the first battery and it had a reading that was a little bit out of tolerance range. I did clean it with some alcohol and it hast done it in a few start ups. Is it common for a key that is a little dirty to cause this? Thanks
