In 92 Eldo, you have electric fuel pump....
You have fuel pressure test port in the fuel rail assembly. I think all service shops have pressure gauge - and this isnt expensive job to do...
Those symptoms can do clogged fuel filter too (its located near tranny, below the car)

ECM must set fault code:
E019 - Fuel pump fault - short
E020 - Fuel pump fault - open
check those codes first....

I am not sure about this....
If you think, its electrical problem, then:
check fuel pump relay/fuse (located in interior fuse box)
chek, is the fuel pump itself in order (grey + wire thru fuel pump to the black wire - ground)
