I have a 92 Deville with an intermittent starting problem. Every now and then it will not start. The problem is the is no power going to the solenoid. I don't know if it is the neutral safety switch or what. When it happens I can put the shift level in any position and still get nothing. If I jump the solenoid with the key on it will start right up. When it decides not to start there is 0 volts in the wire going to the solenoid. My guess is still the neutral safety switch. What else could cause this. I have not tried bypassing the neutral switch yet.

Thanks

Have you tried wiggling the shifter in the neutral position while turning the key? Have you pulled the DTC's?

Yes I have wiggled, shifted and cussed. I have not tried pulling the codes. I will do that later today.

Thanks

I pulled the codes and what I got was E52 (PCM memory reset) & F46 (Low refrigerant charge). I had disconnected the battery which would explain E52 and F46 is my next thing to work on.
