RockAuto shows 140 amps for an AC Delco (OEM) alternator with or without the heated windshield on 92 Deville. That said, alternators are rarely the cause of stalling.

I got a 120 amp. So maybe it's not getting enough amps to run right. It didn't start til i changed it out. I will take it back tomorrow to just see if that is the problem..

Unless you have every electrical component in the car drawing the maximum load, 120 vs. 140 should not make a huge difference, the lights might be dim and a couple fuses might blow - but that should not cause stalling.
