its me again! lol

Ok so Ive got a 91 Eldorado that was my grandfathers, when he passed, It was passed down to me. the car sat for 12 years in the woods. i pulled it out a year ago, pulled the plugs, injected some marvels mystery oil in the cylinders and let it sit for a couple of days. went back, turned the crank by and, made sure everything was free before attempting to start it. everything looked good, so i threw in a battery, dropped the tank, replaced the tank, pump and fuel filter, turned the key and she fired right off. ran great. well last week it acquired a misfire condition. went thru the dic shut off each inj and narrowed it down to no. 5 cyl. checked the compresstion. all were fairly close together and well within spec. checked for spark, all was good there, so injector it is!! injector is pulsing but that doesn't mean any fuel is getting thru it. pulled the rail looked down in the injector passage and the intake valve looked reddish as opposed to the rest having slight black carbon buildup. so tomorrow i will be installing new injectors and o-rings to see if that clears it up.

On to the overdrive.

i am beyond frustrated with this, but thats what happens when you let a vehicle sit. tranny runs beautifully. especially since i changed the fluid and filter. theres just no overdrive. ive tested the TCC solenoid, Ohm'd it out, its within spec, ive even engaged it directly, i can hear the solenoid click when engaged. ecm is sending the ground signal when going over 44 MPH, checked the brake switch, everything seems to be working as intended, so why wont the d*** thing go in to OD :canttalk: I am at the end of my rope. lol any and all help would be very much appreciated. thanks!!

Torque converter lockup and overdrive are two very different things. Overdrive is 4th gear.

Are you having issues with TC lockup, or is it not shifting into 3rd? Or no drive in 4th?
Re: 91 Eldorado Biarritz Misfire and No Overdrive!!! HELP!!!

im having trouble with it locking up. it goes through all the gears just fine, theres just no lockup, my apologies, I should have stated that lol
