A little bigger than the stock throttlebody and have a little stiffer spring for more control at higher boosts to stay open and shut. Works perfect as an add on for the 4 inch cold air kits as the whole system now the same exact size. Makes a difference in throttle response also as more air is allowed into the system at the same TPS. Boost does go up a little but only with bigger pulleys of coarse. :D

Price shipped are $410.

Pics ? are they any specific brand ? is a tune needed ?
They are OEM Retail is 540 something. Tune is not needed. The tunes even in stock form adjust for it just fine.
So what do you do to the oem to increase the size ? I'm guessing than its a totally sleeper mod and invisible to the dealer eye
OEM for a non used engine. Not our car.
Is it visibly the same as our oem or is the layout of it slightly different. Wanting to see if a knowledgeable mechanic would be able to tell the difference.
Yes it looks different as the outside case is all metal instead of plastic like the stock one is.
speaking of the "cold air kits" are the new units ready with the maf attachment and the concical filter?

Thanks,
Mark

Jesse,
What is the size of the stock TB?
I am curious what gains you get with your 4" intake and the 90mm throttle body?
The stock one is 8x something. Getting rid of any restriction on the inlet size has proved to be helpfull. The easier the air comes in, the more power it is making.
^ Hey Jesse I got your TB it looks great. My question is would there be any benefit to polish and slightly port the inner edge that is rough ?
No, i left that there on purpose. I tried all different ways, and that ledge did the best.
^ cool thanks for the additional testing on it
Does it hold any heat?
HEAT? It is aluminum just like the factory one is. Heat transfer isnt an issue as the air in that area dont stick around long enough for thermal transfer. Volume vs time isnt close to being enough to be an issue...

What happens when you have a tunnel ram that is aluminum at wot? Ive shaved 1/8 inch of ice off the runner that was showing 180degree temps before the wot blast...
adding a 4in intake to a 3.5in TB doesn't exactly increase velocity.

what's the part number of the 90mm TB?
what's the part number of the 90mm TB?
Inquiring minds want to know! Looks very similar to my C6 Vette's throttle body. When ported for stock engine the throttle response was improved and crisp, really nice...so I was wondering if this is the same piece?
These won't work on a automatic car FYI. Paddles shifters will go haywire.
Whats the diff between the 90mm and porting the stock TB?
