The car was driving great except a hesitation when accelerating from a stop. We had been told that the throttle positioning sensor was bad so we had that replaced. Now the car will not go over 25mph. Mechanics claimed the exhaust was clogged and needed replaced. (we knew it needed replacing but only due to some rust). We had it replaced at our muffler shop and it made no difference at all. Any suggestions as to what to look for?

Pull codes

Off the top of my head, though. Clogged fuel filter and bad cat come to mind

O.K. dumb question....I am used to being able to hit off and warmer to get the codes. But it appearently doesn't work on an '87 Fleetwood. How do I pull the codes?

I think code 12 means everything is OK. In that case you should verify the fuel pressure. It could be a bad fuel pump.
