It's cheap because it has the HT4100 V8 which is not ideal, much less in a heavy limousine.

They didnt really put that ht4100 in a federal limo, did they? Is "federal" limo a government vehicle or the maker of the limo?

1984 was the last year of the 368 in a factory commercial chassis, right? Federal is a coachbuilder that makes hearses and limousines. Most stretch limos from 82-85 were not commercial chassis based and had HT4100's. That's why they're cheeeeeep. :)

CS, you need to make a 500 conversion kit so these remaining nice 82-85 HT cars can live the good lives they deserve. :)

'84 was the last year for the 368.

The car is a good find even with the 4100. When the Cadillac line up went front wheel drive, so did the Series Seventy-five. There weren't too many Cadillac RWD limousines built after 1984. Most of them, whether front wheel drive or rear wheel drive, follow the 6 door format.

Though there were some stretched 4 doors. I don't know the coach builder of this one;

But I've mostly seen the mid '80's FWD limos

I believe that second 4 door black limo is a Fleetwood 75 factory limo

Was built by Federal. Looks like a chevy 350 to me and it WILL leave a long posi rubber trail on those dry rotted tires! Mid doors had handles shaved and repainted so looks like 4 door, center seat turned around. Almost like new and owner wants $1500.
Should I move on it then?

yep, already has the motor swap done so I think its a great deal.

Bro-Ham, I thought about a 500 kit but that would mean taking motors out of 77-81 devilles whenever I get a chance.

So it's a six-door, then. If you like it, go for it. Worst that can happen is you find having is not as pleasing as wanting, and you sell it.

That's not a 1985 then. That's got the L05 350, and has the 89-92 header panel. That's a 90-92 Brougham limousine.

Awesome find! :)
