84 Seville Transmission Drive Chain

Anyone ever replace one of these chains? The trans is a th325-4L. The chain is slipping so badly that it makes all but the mildest acceleration nearly impossible. The whole car shakes violently and makes loud clunking sounds until you back off the throttle. Anyone have any advice or tips on this one? Thanks!

While I haven't opened up my transmission, I don't think that this chain could ever slip without breaking! You probably have some other transmission problem. Maybe torque converter is bad....

In either case you need to rebuild the transmission (either yourself or take it to a transmission specialist).
