I found a place that has vintage Appliance wheels and a few sets of Western wheels that are 5 on 5. My question is how wide of a wheel can I run, front and back, on my 79 coupe deville without rubbing or customizing? I want to stick with 15" wheels and period correct aftermarket, as long as this car is mine it will never be "pimped" just 70s cool. Thanks for the help!
I can't speak for a 79 Deville, but on my 96 Hearse I ran 9.5 inch wide wheels and had a slight rub on one wheel. So I would think 9's would fit. Take the rear wheel off and meassure. Getting your offset and back space just right make a big difference in getting it right.
