Hello so I have a 69 Cadillac Deville with the 472 in it and it sounds like it’s knocking or smacking not like a normal engine knock and like it’s from the side of the engine but only when it’s hot however it still runs and drives great. The knock doesn’t increase when it’s goes up in RPMs or down it just stays the same.... Someone did put after market exhaust with a cherry bomb on it could this be related to it?

May be front main bearing. They can be noisy especially with certain fan belt tension.

The uninitiated will think the engine needs an immediate rebuild. I've seen them run for years and years with that noise.

Bought a few that were mis-diagnosed by foreign car mechanics. Remember those?

Listening to it today it kinda sounds like it’s coming from the back side of the motor and when it’s sitting and doing it you can feel it in the passenger side floor more then the driver side. Can a toque converter make that type of sound?

Yes, a crack or loose bolt in the torque converter can do that. BTW this post should be in the 368 425 472 500 engine section.
