So OPGI had their year end no shipping sale, and I bought a top boot for my car. It came today.

It does not fasten properly, in that it has one of those round plastic leads that should slide into a tube to hold down the forward edge. I do not have the receiver part on this car. Everything looks stock and clean, so I don't really know what is wrong. Also, the snaps on the boot seem a little larger than the snaps I have all around the back of the top well.

What was the stock way these boots work?

My 68 Buick vert has the long groove that the boot slides into mounted on the back of the rear seat.

Maybe your rear seat has been replaced with ones out of a hardtop.
