Looking around in here for some discussion with regards to the older Cad's.. and not seeing too much of it. Is there a specific section on this website that I'm not seing? Or perhaps somebody can refer me to something more that speed?

I currently have a 76 sedan deville.. but I'm looking to acquire a early 60's sedan as well.

There's not as many old Cad owners as there are newer ones. But there are a few of them here. I've had my share of 70's Cadillacs as well, and miss most of them. :(

Caddydaddy, do you prefer the newer more modern "international style" Cadillacs or the older monsters of yore?

The new ones are great for thier speed, handling, technology and fuel efficiency. But the old ones with thier great size, soft ride and classy looks appeal to me as well. The smoothest car I've ever owned was my 1976 Fleetwood Brougham EFI. That EFI 500 engine ran so smooth, and the car rode so soft as well. But it slalomed like a beached whale, and was the opposite of my STS!
Now my '94 Deville is great because it's still a sorta big car with a fairly big trunk, has good power, classy looks, and I love the 20+ MPG I get with it! My '79 Deville never got better than 17 on the highway with it's old 425.
So I guess I'm saying I like both the new and old Cadillacs. I just wish I had the money to afford more of both! :)

yeah.. I would love to have a 74-76 Fleetwood Brougham or a '77-78 Eldo Biarritz. But it would make a horrible daily driver, which is where the new models come in. And they are much quicker, more "roadable" and more efficent.

I appreciate the welcome Kev. :)

With regards to old vs new.. I don't really see myself owning any of the newer cadillacs with the exception of maybe an Escalade. At the time (2000) when I bought my Navigator the Escalades weren't nearly as nice.. Now I think their about equal with relevance to the new models.

I love the tuna boats of ole though.. Nothing like riding on a cloud down the freeway.. Or cruising the beach in a classic.
