500 crank thread size

Anyone know the thread size for the front of a 500 crank? I need to reinstall my balancer and nothing seems to start and would like to know size before I run a tap down it. Thanks

My 69 isn't threaded. i thought I had lost a bolt and was about to loose my balancer until I noticed the 4 outer bolts hold the balancer on.

The cranks are threaded, 9/16-18... they are threaded to press on the crank hub.. the pulley and balancer, if it has a balancer, are bolted on the hub..If the threads are damaged they will have to be cleaned up with a tap...
