I want to what my options are
Want to punch out the cylinders
Cam and in large the valves
=====================
you got the wrong car if modding is your thing -

about the only way to add any "real" horsepower -
would be to add a nitrous kit -
and you MIGHT get two squirts out of it before blowing the engine or trans -

yup - fiero forums. plenty of super/turbocharged engines and many manual swaps. remember - these engines have the same bellhousing pattern as the 60 degree v6's (2.8, 3.1,3.4) and many of those engines came with manual's behind them.

You can do custom things to it, however, how are you going to make the computer work correctly? The only way would be to have a PCM re-flash from a very knowledgeable tuner. I doubt someone will want to do that, though, except for a lot of money.

Anything can be done, with enough time and enough money. But that doesn't mean it should be done. You can invest $30,000 in a Honda Civic and turn it into a drag car, but you could spend a lot less and buy a 2000 Camaro SS and have a car that's just as fast. I'm all for customizing cars - be it for looks, for performance, for off-road capability, what have you. And I respect the fact that you want to make the car smoke tires. The five-speed swap sounds like an incredible idea. But I don't think the money invested would ever give you the results you want as far as tuning the engine goes. I'd look for something with a 302, 318 or 350 in it, and go to town.

Stand-alone systems have come a long way. Almost dummy-proof. Plug it in, feed it the basics, and it tunes itself. It's amazing, really.
