I recently bought a 85 Fiero with a 4.9 PFI motor but it has TBI! The previous owner had been driving it for over a year with no problems. It runs and drives but is running very rich. I have found that a few of the PFI injectors are leaking (pulling air in). There is no fuel rail to hold them down ! ? I'm going to get new O-rings ($8) Has anyone ever seen this?

What does it have; TBI or PFI?

Hmmmmm - he said it has a TBI on it, then that the PFI injectors are leaking. - strange..........

I was assuming someone swapped it to TBI and left the PFI injectors in there. weird huh? It sounds like it needs some injector hold downs. I don't even remember what they look like.

The fuel rail held them in.

You can't have both TBI and PFI, either working or not; the manifolds are different.
I've never seen a TBI manifold drilled for injectors.
