Anyone having an issue with the 3rd, middle taillight housing cracking?
I had the first one crack before this past summer, and replaced it around midsummer. Recently, the new replacement also cracked in virtually the same spot.
I understand it happening once, but for it to crack in the same place the second time is pretty ridiculous.
When it cracks, it takes all surrounding LEDs with it.

Wasn’t sure if anyone else has had this taillight crack as well

Ignore the dirty water-spotted up finish for now!

You have some type of structure issue? Something is flexing or moving that should not be. Has this car been in a prior accident?

I had one replaced on my '14 CTS, it was under warranty.

It's a 2014 with the 2015 conversions!

No accidents. I am bringing the car in Thursday to have it checked out

I think it's just a badge conversion.

My 2014 lens was replaced under warranty, now you have me thinking I better check it again. Obviously an issue from the factory, I bought my car new and have never been in an accident.

That cant be done without some modification of the decklid

Yes, it's just the badge conversions all the way around. But you do not have to touch the "spoiler" for the conversion. it just replaces the badge below it with the applique.

How are you closing the trunk? I've seen spoilers on other cars separate from people using it as a trunk handle.

There's a stress area behind where the lens is attached that's causing it to crack. The spoiler or housing may be slightly deformed. Tell the person that is repairing it to find out why it's cracking. They simply just replaced the lens and did not give thought as to why it cracked.
