What about the front sway bar? I take it the number you provided was for the rear. Unless im mistaken

My bad I looked online and it says its the part number for the front bar. Did you do the rear bar too if so whats that number?
Correct, they are the same diameter but for some reason not the same part number I assume due to different rates.
Same size + different spring rate = different sway bar in my book.
I could imagine the front drive components resist aspect changes much like the larger V front sway bar and therefore a similar rated rear sway bar would be called for. If it had the same spring rate, wouldn't GM use the same part number?
Could the same part carry two different part numbers depending upon the car to which it is fitted?

True. But its close enough and the same in Diameter that it just doesn't justify the additional cost to me to upgrade that as well. The front sway was and is worth it to me.
