Hi All,

I am experiencing an intermittent misfire in #3 cylinder.
The engine will run flawlessly one minute and misfire terribly the next.
Check engine light on, with codes PO154 (insufficient activity from oxygen sensor) and PO303 (misfire in #3}.
Replaced plugs in Cyl 1-3-5, there are no signs of bad plug wires.
The mis continues and is really bad at times.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Look under the hood on a dark night with the engine running to see if there are any extra sparks jumping around for starters.

I had a similar problem and it was the wire. I bought a cheap emergency wire pack ($25can) - adapted the coil end from the old #3 wire, and it cured the problem. Only then did I get a 3rd party replacement wire pack. I figured $25 plus my time was better to prove it before spending the big $ for the replacement harness.
Mine is a 97 and I made sure there was no oil in the plug sockets first (bad rocker cover gaskets).
