From reading the threads I have learned that the original Blower Motors on the 96 Deville 4.6 are 5 bolt mounting. I also have learned that the replacement motors
are all 3 bolt mounting. There is a clearance issue with installing the new 3 bolt motor. Does the removal and replacement of the original 5 bolt motor have the same issue with clearance.?
I have located a few used 5 bolt blower motors on ebay. I read that the 5 bolt motor can come out in pieces. I was wondering if the used 5 bolt can be put in easier with less clearance vs
the 3 bolt. I bought all the hardware necessary to move the engine forward (haven't tried it yet) Can the 5 bolt be installed in pieces or does it go in as one complete unit?
Thanks in advance for any help/ideas.

Yes, the 5 bolt can be installed in pieces just like it is removed without clearance problems.
