'06 CTS 3.6 PCV Valve will not come out. Nothing really to use for leverage and none of my tricks worked so far. Probably need to take out the Battery next for more work room, but in the meantime, any ideas?

Would love to use a mini Slide Hammer, but I don't believe there is such a thing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

It is "glued" in with RTV type sealant. Just grab it with a pliers and twist it like a screw (be sure not to bend it...if it breaks you would need to remove the valve cover to get it out). When the sealant releases it will pull out. Removing the battery will give you more room to work. Plan to replace the valve...the pliers will likely leave grooves and it may or may not seal afterward.

That's my plan. Take the battery out first for some good work room and get a good hold onto it with vice grips.

Appreciate the replies.

Just one more suggestion...use a battery handle like the one below. Otherwise it's hard to securely hold the battery while moving it past the hood support.
