you must have been going down a long hill all the way. My 93 FW got 17-20 mpg and it was advertised at 17-25mpg. TexasCadillac

17-20? Ive never gotten under 23-24 on the freeway.

but you have a totally different engine so???

I filled up all the way, drove 158 miles, filled up all the way again, and it took 5.4 gallons. 158 miles driven. SWEET.

I've mentioned it before, but I got 28 mpg on my 89 Brougham during a cruise out to Cape Cod, as did another forum member.

We believe the air on the Cape contains some sort of miraculous component that provides for maximum fuel economy when mixed with gas in the carburetor. I've never gotten that high again.

Cadydaddy, where'd you drive? I know you're from MN so I'd probably know the road. I drove from Inver Grove Heights to Duluth (162 miles) on 5.3 gallons....30.2 MPG...the flatness of MN can be really nice at times!

I have never seen more than 21 on my 94 Fleetwood, but factory 3.42s don't help....

But for now I have a 3.08 axle in and still not seeing over 21....

But maybe because that has posi I am able to get out of the hole faster and I find it somewhat fun to do!!

I sure would like to know why I can't seem to get decent mpg out mine.... It pulls good, can run a 15.3 @ 93 mph in the quarter as read by TTS Datamaster. So power isn't an issue, tune is good, but just doesn't seem to get decent mpg highway. But I get city/highway and get 19ish.....

Getting out of the hole fast is a mpg destroyer!!!!!!

You need to be very light on the gas and brake for good mpg.

I take off lights pretty slow, and am rarely in a hurry, so thats where the mpg comes from.
Oncein awhile I let her rip but thats only a couple times on a tank full.
