Hello. Looking at putting 22's on my 96 FWB. Every thread or post i've searched shows people running 265-35-22 but no 265-40-22. Its a taller tire that I feel will give more pothole support. Has anyone ran this size? I have 9C1 springs in rear, monroe manual fill air shocks in rear, monroe heavy duty shocks with spring helpers on front, and new moog springs on front. Also Impalla ss front and rear sway bars. The rims are 22X9.5 with +15 offset. Thanks!

How much room do you have on the inside of your current wheel setup?

Here are the differences between your stock 15" wheels with factory 235/70R15 tires compared to a 22x9.5 w/+15 offset on a 265/40R22:

Inner Clearance: 52.75mm or 2.03in less
Outer Position: extend by 10.75mm or 0.41in
Diameter difference: 3.44" (10.95%)

Soooo.... basically, the new tire is 11% larger than stock (means your speedometer is going to read slower, so 70mph on the dash will be faster than that in actuality). The wheel will also be pushed out about 0.4" on each side from the hub.
