I have 2,000 miles on my 2025 . The only two issues I have encountered is the center information screen froze once. This reset after sitting about four hours. Periodically, the side mirrors stay tilted down when the vehicle is placed back into drive. If I shift to reverse and back to drive they correct themselves.

since new 24 engine light comes on over 12 times sent to dealer and not corrected GM has not issued a buy back yet, mine 12 months old , 2,900 miles, not happy
We never wish to hear that you are noticing the check engine light repeatedly coming on in your 2024 Escalade and our team does note how much of an inconvenient this can cause. Specifically, when you are at low mileage and have had ownership for a year. That being said, we want to make sure this concern is further addressed. From here, please send us an email to socialmedia@gm.com and add in your Username and Forum name to the subject line.

Understanding that you may have been able to troubleshoot your infotainment screen and side mirrors, our team would like to make sure these concerns do not become ongoing. If you are currently still having these occurrences, we do encourage you to send us an email to socialmedia@gm.com with your Username and Forum name in the subject line. We will watch for your outreach.

I’ve had the ‘25 premium luxury ESV for about 6mths & I currently have 10k miles on it. It’s already been in the shop too many times. Up until last week most of the issues seemed to be electrical. Infotainment console has a mind of its own- calls bounce between AirPlay and iPhone- without notice. The radio resets everyday. I have to tell the car every morning what I want to listen to- it won’t stay on the last station (FM or Sirius) it was on before turning the car off. The step rails 100% have a mind of their own. They will close up on the foot while in mid-step. I’ll be surprised if someone doesn’t break something bc you get used to them deploying on demand- then all of a sudden they are hit/miss- for no good reason! The car is always in park, etc etc! Sometimes they deploy sometimes there’s a delay- and they’ll hit you in your shin! My kid and I have both “fallen” out of the car bc we expected it to be deployed but when we took the step down there was not a step to catch us! 🙄 I only ever use the rear view mirror in rear camera mode- again for no reason it’ll all of a sudden lose camera connection and just change to a solid bright blue color. That’ll last a few seconds then it’ll bounce back to the rear camera- this has started happening more and more frequently now. The volume dial doesn’t always work- you can just spin it and no sound! AirPlay isn’t consistently connecting- 1/2 the time it works, the other 1/2 I have to plug the phone into the charger so it’ll play thru the radio. 🙄 The passenger side tv works occasionally- sometimes it says it won’t work bc there’s not a passenger detected… I’m 140lbs how big do I need to be to be detected? 🙄 The ac vents weren’t working properly- then all of a sudden the tech said the vent was just closed- 🙄 Um no! I certainly know to slide the vent back and forth to check that! 🙄 Super-cruise works intermittently. Half the time it’ll say it can’t be used bc there’s no road information- on a major interstate which I have used super cruise on just days previously- it’s always a roll of the dice. Don’t rely on the HUD to give an accurate speed limit- it’ll have you going 30 on the interstate and 65 thru a neighborhood! Then all of a sudden it may realize where it’s at and reset with accurate info. Last week I started hearing a whining like the transmission whining. I was told I couldn’t get in until my appt in Oct, which is like the 10th appt it seems like- for all the same electrical problems. So I just asked them to have a tech ride with me to hear it so obviously whining- he just revved up the engine while in park and immediately said yep, it’s the transmission. They warned me I’d be without my vehicle for “a good while”. I need my truck so to try and expedite I called another GM store to ask their thoughts bc he didn’t check the whining with the transmission shifting he only did the idle check. The other shop said it could be the transmission but based on what I relayed they thought it may just be an idle pulley (sp?) and if that were the case I should have my car back same or next day… yep, I got lucky that time! It was the idle pulley and I got it back the same day. 🙌 But now I’m so paranoid the transmission will be the next thing! 🙄 Last year I had the ‘24 esv- I didn’t even have it 24hrs and the engine failed and it was on a flatbed! 🤯😫 Pretty sure they’re all junk and even though Escalades have been all I’ve driven for about 20yrs- I think this will be my last! Spend almost $120k for a car and it’s sat in the shop too many times already. Twice I’ve had to rent Yukon XL’s to get my kids to tournaments and so forth bc the brand new truck I bought was sitting on the lot waiting to be worked on for almost 2weeks at a time. I’m mainly over it with dealing with the dealership and the finance and salesmen that say they’ll hang in there with you if you ever need them only to be fed all the bull and excuses to try and smooth things over!!!! Just keep my dang truck on the road and out of the shop!!!!! 😤🤯🤯 The last time I had to rent a Yukon XL the bright finance guy proposed selling me yet another Escalade- and of course upgrading. Wow, what a solution! I’m over it with the dealership! So I’d say avoid the ESV’s, maybe Escalades as a whole, unless you just enjoy frequent trips to the dealership- I don’t!!!! + having to rent comparable vehicles bc the dealer will provide a midget windup car that won’t fit your family and your busy sports schedule.

Sounds like you have a decent case for a lemon law buyback. Have you explored this?

I was wondering the same thing as we are looking to purchase a 2025, however between there simply not being enough data out there with not tons of 2025s rolling around and even so, limited miles on them, the reliability of data points is small. I have seen 1 youtube video claiming a 2025 Escalade engine bricked, however, I did not watch it to confirm it really was.

My thought as of now, is to hold off on purchasing a 2025 and play the wait and see game, because I don't have much confidence that GM has the engine issues handled moving forward for 2025 or 2026 models (when they arrive). Just my stance.

Purchased our 2025 Escalade Sport three weeks ago. Last week the check engine light came on and so took it to the dealer. Luckily not a mechanical issue and ended up being software. They had to reload 13 programs which took a full day. I am going to do an early oil change this weekend (1100 miles) and will be using 0-40 oil full synthetic.
Are you going to do the oil change yourself ? I've read that the dealers won't supply 0-40 to our 2025's.

My car is at the dealer with the same issues right now. Did you ever get a resolution?
Our team never wishes to hear of any vehicle concerns and are very eager to make sure our assistance is provided. From here, we please ask that you send us an email to socialmedia@gm.com with your Username and Forum name located in the subject line. Once we have gained the details from you that we need, we can take a closer look into this regarding your 2025 Cadillac Escalade.

For everyone having issues with their ‘25 infotainment / screens / Cameras / CarPlay, etc, there has been an NHTSA bulletin since APRIL and GM has yet to provide the “software update” that they mention in the bulletin. When brought in to ANYTHING having to do with the infotainment system, tells them to bill 0.2 hours to a random warranty code, and tell the customer to wait on the software update. Since April. Having owned 9 full size GM SUVs and the last 4 of them being Escalades, this has been a HORRIFIC experience. Dealer’s hands are tied, and I have had a case with Cadillac customer service since July, and they won’t even call me back. When I call for an update, they act like they have no idea about these issues, and just give me the runaround. I’m at the point of dumping GM for good, because if they don’t care about these issues, why should I care to buy their products. Simply unacceptable.
The system won’t allow me to post links, but the NHTSA bulletin number is: 11016667 and I will try and reply to my post with the direct link to the PDF.

I checked out the first link. Holy moley! Three pages of bugs. That's crazy!
Right?? GM has not been able to provide any kind of a timeline as to when the update will be released. It’s very frustrating as I bought my car in April and have had tons of issues since day 1. My ‘21 had more features! (Because they all worked!!)
