Just paid too much for this at CarMaximus. 35,000 original miles. Plan to do some hauling, around 7,000 lbs and will use a bluetooth trailer brake controller.

We've had several Caddys but this is our 1st SUV. Chose black because it's so easy to keep clean😁

Purchased a Platinum warranty plan through Knapp. Mighty happy to have it. I hope to feel the same in a couple months.

Unable to include a pic because it's my first post.

3,500 lb trailer and 3,600 lb cars. Anybody using the Curt bluetooth controller?

Thnx for that reply. Now that I'm reading the Cadillac forums, I do read good reviews about Black Cadillac and their warranty plans.

The plan I chose is a GMPP Platinum Plan that I purchased through Knapp Chevrolet in Michigan. It has already been pressed into action on an OnStar module issue and they paid all but the deductible.

So far, so good.

What was wrong with the OnStar? I have a 2018 Luxury and been happy with it so far. I got my truck with 48k. I changed the license plate lights to LED so the rear view mirror camera would work better at night. I purchased the Sylvania 921 bulb at advanced auto. I have lifetime warranty so when they fail I could just stop by. Your battery is probably at the end of its life. I got the platinum AGM battery from AutoZone which I learned the hard way from buying from a local dealer when it failed I was out of town so I didn’t want to keep jump starting my car. AutoZone is everywhere. Check cabin air filter. Don’t get the K&N cabin filter because it smells like oil. Just buy the disposable charcoal filter from AutoZone. I also purchased the Batman lights that shine the Cadillac emblem on the ground from the mirror like the 2021+. Just buy the 2021+ bulbs and they fit perfectly. Use only the OEM wiper blades or you will have wind noise. I tinted the front two windows with 15% ceramic tint. Don’t cheap out on the tint & buy the best. I bought the center console organizer from Amazon. You should have gotten the tray that goes in the console if not then order it if you want the OEM or Amazon has one too. I have the OEM & Amazon one which gives me 3 levels of storage. I also have the CarPlay wireless adapter from Microcenter. Paid $89. Just bought it Saturday and still seeing if I like it. Use what is left of your tires then get the Michelin defender LTX. If you need the roof rails to carry things on top of the truck I have some for sale in silver to match. The OEM are black. You could order new mats from the platinum which are a little thicker. I ordered the Lloyds thick carpet for the front. I sent some pictures for you to see. I would look into changing the vlom with the updated part which may prevent lifter failure in the future. Only use Dexos 1 gen. 2 or 3, Mobil 1 top oil with OEM or Mobil 1 oil filter. It Transmission fluid should only be changed at the dealer at 45k. I would not recommend the range AFM because members bought it and it still caused lifter failure. I would run your vin to see the service history. You can order from GM Nav the updated maps for the navigation which I recommend because it also updates the speed limit on the cluster and heads-up display. In November the update will come out for 2024. I keep a iPod 30 gig on the hidden compartment behind the radio for music. When I want to listen to a song I use voice control. I hand wax my truck every 3 months. I would only hand wash my truck if it was black. You don’t need to do much because the truck has almost everything.

Thnx for the reply. That white Caddy looks great!
The OnStar was a 'module' and they quoted a price of $909 to fix it which the warranty covered.
I will definitely take your advice on the LED license lights! Mine has a recent Interstate batt but it bugs me to have a non-Delco...I'm weird.
The oil & filter, as well as the engine and cabin filters were all changed with OEM after I purchased it. I'll be on the lookout for the NAV updates. I installed the Lloyd's plush mats for the first and second row. Put a Weathertech mat in the back. We'll probably never use the third row seats.
Definitely going to change the puddle lights...that looks nice.
Thnx again

In February 2022 I replaced my battery with the Delco Gold 42 month non-AGM battery which Cadillac roadside installed for me. They charged me $220 for it. The battery was definitely new. In December of 2022 my battery died so I called roadside for a jump. I thought because I was cleaning my truck I killed it. The next day I took my kid out of town to an indoor playhouse. After leaving my car wouldn’t start due to battery failure. I was out of town so I couldn’t bring my truck back to the dealer that sent roadside and it was a Saturday. I didn’t want to keep jumping my truck every destination I went too. Could you imagine how inconvenient that would be? I went to AutoZone and purchased an AGM platinum battery for $250 to be done with it. I didn’t want to bring my car for service, drop off the truck for a day or two just for a battery. It was easier for me to go to any AutoZone borrow there tools and replace my battery in 15 minutes. The battery is made by DuraLast and it’s an AGM which means it could be drained and charged often which is good because I am always cleaning my truck. I lost out on the Delco Gold battery. I didn’t want it inside my truck just incase it leaks so I took the trade in credit.

I put a few new trinkets on it...new tail lights, running boards, lower air dam, all four wheel well inner liners and vent assembly at the base of the windshield. Spent two days scrubbing the chassis. Used straight Simple Green then a foam bath then elbow grease.
I'm an old Corvette guy so, the chassis is as important as the paint...it's a curse😁

I changed the front seats leather bottoms and foam and the 2nd row seats bottom and back. I found on eBay takeoffs for the 2nd row captains for $250. The front seats I had to buy from dealer. I advise anyone that wants to do it to change the foam as well for the front bottoms. I also bought from someone on this forum custom made cup holders for the center armrest for the 2nd row passengers or extra for the front seat passengers. I bought the silver bottoms like the platinum x2 one for the front cup holder and one for my 2nd row cup holders from the XT5 which fits perfect.

Ok I am going to order the 2018 book for my truck now off of eBay. I am jealous about your book. I have something cool as well. I have the iPad 4 which is the more rare one with the lightning connector. When the ATS/XTS came out in 2013 Cadillac was giving iPads to customers that bought the ATS/XTS with the CUE. It came in a cool box which I have in my storage as well as four apps installed which was OnStar, instruction book pdf, Cadillac CUE and My Cadillac. The first batch was the iPad 3 with the 30 pin and then the iPad 4 with the lightning connector. I think it is cool to have especially because our Escalades have the CUE. When I get old I will do car meetups with my Escalade when it’s a classic and keep my iPad displayed in my car to show.

Tomorrow, she goes in for a two day stay at a paintless dent repair shop in Lexington, KY. They have a good reputation so, I'm hoping for good results.
After that, it's a paint correction followed by Expel PPF and then a 5 year ceramic on the exterior and interior. Also having PPF applied to infotainment screen.

How many miles on it?
35,000...it'll look good because, I'm a moron😁
I just enjoy pouring love into a vehicle. Not the best move putting money into
something that you'll never get back but, we'll keep it forever. My everyday driver is a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country we bought brand new. It has 327,000 miles on it and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country.

That old T&C has zero body rust and that ain't easy for a Chrysler. When I was a kid, we always joked..."on a calm night, you could hear a Mopar rust"😁
Our Escalade will only be used as a road trip vehicle so, it should go a while. I've had a lot of flying in my life so we enjoy driving these days.
