On the 2018 xt5 I do not see an ACC Off button. Just the cruise on off (dial with an ax) and cruise type (dial with clock pointing at 10 o'clock, same as icon in cluster, though without the vehicle showing). Holding or selecting either one it will give me the "vehicle" in the Cruise icon in my cluster.
I've tried multiple configurations including even while stopped holding the brake and reselecting cruise type and Res+ or -, which is some other websites recommended, including Cadillac site for xt5 2024 ACC..
All in all I'm convinced that I don't have ACC. Though I'm convinced I do have the other features in the Driver Assist package. That is why I'm trying to get a build list for this VIN.
I'm just hoping now somebody at Cadillac sees this posting and will send me a build list so I know for sure what I've got and what I don't.

At the time you have the vehicle as part of the icon for the cruise symbol, have you tried stopping at that display and the vehicle as part of the icon remains? That indicates you are in the ACC mode.

I'm a new owner of a used 2018 XT5 Premium Luxury (VIN 1GYKNERS1JZ161377) and I'm confused....

Did you buy from a GM dealer? If so, go back to the dealer and ask them to print a Build Sheet for your vehicle.

 

There is a list of RPO's on your vehicle. During the XT5 history, there may be a list of RPO's in the storage area, or my 2020 has a QR code on the lower pillar of the driver door what has the RPO's. Use your smartphone to show the decoded QR which will have the VIN plus the RPO's.

 

The list of RPO's on the door pillar did not include all of the codes. Mine was missing the ACC and Driver Assist Package RPO's which are those you are looking for. If you find the QR and it does not have the ACC RPO, it is not an indication you do not have it.

2017-2019 cannot switch from ACC to regular cruise. They're fixed in ACC mode.

Thats not right.
I have a 2018 XT5 Platinum and can switch from ACC to regular cruise control.

 

My bad, I thought the change happened in the 2020 refresh. Family member has 2017 and cannot switch.

Press and hold the start button for about 5 or so seconds. Do not press on the brake pedal.

Must press the start button to end, as it won't time out like accessory mode.

(I swear, I must have posted this a thousand times by now. Amazing how many people don't search the forums or read the manual).

Thank you for RPO list. I don't see any text for Nav, Cruise or many other options. Where can I find those RPO's (Build list) for my XT5 (based on the PRO codes I've captured from my door frame)?
Or is this purely a dealer thing and us used Caddy clients are a bit out in the cold on this?

 

I just checked the whole order guide, and there is no RPO code for the basic cruise control. Only the code to upgrade it to ACC.

Some standard items have reference RPOs (but never need to specify when ordering) and other standard items don't even have a ref code.

I tried that NTSHA and it shows blanks beside items I know I have, so I don't think it's very good.

I tried your VIN, and it shows for me that ACC value as optional on yours, yet your screenshot shows blank for the value.

The ONLY one who can get you an accurate list and/or a Monroney window sticker is a GM dealer. You may have to pay. Trying for a free one online is a crapshoot/scam (you get what you pay for).

I even found a Monroney lookup linked (hidden) on GM's website posted to other forums, and for my 2021 VIN it works, for your 2018 VIN it does not. It also does not work for my 2018 Camaro, so there is an age cutoff.

Just go to any GM dealer and ask them to order you a window sticker.

Strange but even on the screen print you provided of your CAD, none of the Values are listed. Either way I truly believe I do not have ACC, and I will most likely go in the direction of finding a CAD dealer to provide a duplicate of the original window sticker.... Just for the hell of it.

I know GM is Lane Keep Assist, not Lane Centering Assist. I thought the NHTSA site was using Lane Centering as a generic term for any sort of lane maintaining assistance system.

I went back and double checked, and they have an item a few lines above referring to Lane Keep Assist. I did not realize that since the posted snapshot cut off right above Centering.

Is there a fuse for it in one of the panels? If not I 'd say no....check under the cargo lid, left side doors and posts...good luck

 

You may have already been told this, but ACC (RPO code KSG) was included with, and only available with, the Driver Assist Package, RPO code Y66. If you have your code list and can find either of those codes included, then you should have ACC on your XT5. Good luck!
