Hi! I've been a long time Lexus owner and I wanted to upgrade my current (Daily Driver) 2011 ES350 (to another Lexus, but I changed my mind) anyways I was at the local Cadillac dealership and I came across a 2018 XTS Luxury and to be honest I really really liked it and Im planning on pursing that exact car (dealer is going to add a sunroof for me because that's what I want) but I was playing around in the car and realized that I had the power folding mirrors (I saw the button on the mirror controls) but I for the life of me couldn't figure out how they work and I was so in focused on the rest of the car I forgot to ask the salesman how to fold them in...I googled but I found nothing for the 2018 model's. My apologies if this has been discussed already.

My 2016 XTS switch for the mirrors is a three contact switch. Picture N,S,E and West with North pointing at front of the car. East to the right controls the mirror glass on the right side of the car, West on the left side controls the left side mirror glass and South toward the rear of the car closes and opens both mirrors.

Dealer is adding a sun roof. Really.that a big job.and factory,sun roofs are prone to leaks and noise.cant imagine what dealer installed would be.if he does that make sure to go thru mechanical car wash before you close deal.theres plenty of xts cars aroundbhe could trade with another dealer.and drive at highway speeds for noise

You can also use the key fob. Hold down the lock button to fold and hold down the unlock button to unfold.

My 2 cents.....find an XTS that has all the options you want. Cadillac is notorious for leaky sunroofs to start with and to have a dealer install it is asking for trouble in my opinion.

I had a sunroof installed in an STS that I had & it was the best thing I ever did! Never leaked water or air! And it had an electronic sensor so if it was open & it detected rain, it would automatically close! Most of the people that install them do a really good job. You will get many years of enjoyment out of it! Enjoy your new car!

That's what I may end up doing although, I immediately fell in love with this XTS when I first saw it (for some reason) but I was at the same time walking away from it because it didn't have a sunroof, but the salesman continuously kept reminding me that they could add a sunroof for me and they are still holding the car for me to make my decision on whether or not I want to buy the vehicle, Im going back to the dealer today to make my final decision after a second test drive.

I wonder if it is some kind of after market sun roof. Some of those are kind of junky. Be careful of what he is trying sell you.

Just tell him to find what you want,ie sunroof,from another dealer.they do,it all the time.if you do get it from them make sure it's explicitly included in your bumper to bumper warranty.normally after market stuff isn't.

Ps. You could do a search on car guru or auto trader to find a sun roof car near you,and show it to him saying either he trades for car or you'll but it directly from someone else.good luck,love my xts.

You press the side mirror control button on the bottom side facing rear and hold till they fold. Or you can make them fold by holding the LOCK button on your remote.
