I bought a 2018 CTS 2.0T, with about 22K miles, so under warranty. Had it about a week and the Service Engine light came on. Took to dealership A, they replaced the sensor.
I left Ohio to drive to Nevada. 3 days later, in Colorado the same light came on. Took to dealership in Vegas. They had it 5 days and finally called and said it was replaced and ready. Great.
After 15 days I leave Nevada to drive to Arizona. An hour into the drive the light comes on again. I take to Scottsdale dealership, they fix again, plus some engine computer thing, and a bad wire. Leave Arizona to drive back to Ohio and the same light comes on in Missouri. Also experienced some small blackouts of my CUE screen.
I have an appointment at dealership B here on Monday. They’ll be looking into both issues.
Has anyone else experienced this engine light issue associated with the brake assist sensor? If this time the fix doesn’t work, is this something that would fall under the Lemon Law?
I had zero issues with my 2012 CTS but I felt a newer car would be better for a 5000 mile road trip. Now I’m disgusted.
