I thought I had thermostat problems and replaced the thermostat and still having same issue. It will stay on 160 and never move up... any suggestions on what to look for next

The coolant temp sensor is a heat-sensitive variable resistor (thermistor) that changes voltage sent to the temp gauge.

A bad sensor, wiring, or electrical connector can cause poor gauge operation.

Your engine should run between 190 and 210 or so most of the time after warmup.

I have the same problem. When it is stopped after a few minutes it reaches normal temperature, as soon as I start driving it drops to 160 o 170 and stays low while driving.
I went to the dealer 3 days in service and they say there is nothing wrong because it does not have the check engine light .

I was thinking to change the thermostat until I saw this post.
Maybe the sensor??????
