Hi all, I have a few things going on with the car and wanted to see if anyone else has had them or knows what to do to fix.

1. Start car and while in park, can't rev up the engine, move pedal and nothing happens or is will slowly bring up the rpms.
2. Transmission shifts are funny and can be jerky, is this the shutter problem others have talked about?
3. Black smoke comes out when I get into the throttle and my tail pipes are black.

Any insight or service bulletins are appreciated.

Thanks, Jeff

Not revving in park is normal programming (hold it flat to the floor and it should rev to a few thousand rpm then hold)

Shifting jerky... Time for super dealer flush/new tq converter/re-learn

Black smoke - a little is probably normal and black tail pipes are everybody now (engines are super rich during cold start to try and get cat temps up ASAP). Is it consuming oil? Can you see the smoke in your rear view or have others noticed when behind you?

Thanks for the reply.

I see it in rear view and i don't think it is burning oil.
