Hello, i am new to Cadillac forums but not new to owning Cadillacs, this is my third Cadillac. My first car was a 05, Deville then i had a 08 DTS for about 6 years and literally yesterday i purchased a 2016 CT6, 55K miles Now I’m here wanted to know if anyone knows where the coolant sensor is located on the CT6 It hasn’t even been 24 hours of me owning this car and the coolant is just reading cold car isn’t overheating but checked engine light came on from my drive back from work. Now i can say i was flooring the car on the highway seeing what she can do but i diddnt go over 95, i let my dad drive, he pushed pass 120, so i guess that would do it. Google isn’t much help with information for the CT6. I literally just want to enjoy my dam ride
Thank you In advance

You are putting yours and other driver's lives at risk going that fast. Did you even check your tires before hand - wear, air pressure, speed rating. If you want to race go to the track, not public roads. Very irresponsible.

well, I’m sorry you feel that way lol, the factory tires are not on my car. I have 245/30/ZR22 95W, that will definitely do the job and your concern about me putting lives at risk, seems impossible considering its 2am and there is LITERALLY no one else on the road with me. So if i chose to risk MY LIFE, that’s not your concern. Assuming i diddnt take the necessary precautions or i don’t know what i doing is your personal issue. Aggressively driving my car isn’t something i do at all i just got the car i wanted to know it’s capabilities. I’m not even sure why i justified myself to you but, thanks for the bringing negativity and You have a blessed day

You think driving 95mph or 120mph isn’t aggressive?? Seriously? How about the police officer who might be off on the side of the road with his lights off waiting for someone like you to come along. Then he has to chase you at 120-140mph mph to catch you. You are definitely risking his life. Grow up.

IT's a dumbass thing to do, and for what, 10 seconds of juvenile thrill. If you want to see what the car can do, take the mature route and go to the track where your car will be inspected by professionals, where there will be safety standards and precautions. My post is not negativity, it's being concerned about the dangerousness of the situation. Maybe you'll feel differently when you crash on a lonely road and are in the car bleeding your guts out, and if you survive maybe being a quadriplegic being looked after in a care home for the rest of your life - a care home being run by the government and payed for by other citizens taxes...so it is others concern in that respect. A so called deserted road to you, may not be actually deserted. When you crash your car, and you will eventually if you keep driving in such a dangerous manner like that, you will be putting in danger the Police and Emergency personnel who will attend the scene as they rush to get there, or as TwoFrame said, the Police officer stationed on the side of the road who has to chase you down putting his own life at risk in the line of duty.

Let's go back to the temp sensor. The thread, unfortunately, started off on a bad foot and is now turning into an opinion contest.

Btay, welcome to CF !!! Please do NOT reference illegal driving or street racing in these forums. Study the first link which touches on your activity, then read the rest of the second link.
