Hi,

Need some input, Picked up my 2015 XTS this Friday, it was a demo, had 2200 miles on it. Well it has power folding outside mirrors that have got me scratching my head. A few times I remote started the car and the mirrors folded in. I get in the car hit the start button and the mirrors do not reset, put the car in drive, no reset. I does not happen all the time on a remote
start.

I have no idea what is going on. I don't even know how these mirrors are suppose to work and why would they fold in during a remote start? I and to manually move them back out.

Called the dealership today, no one was around that knew how to operate them or could explain why they folded in. People in the service department left for the day, spoke with 2 differ salespeople and they had no idea what was going on.

Anyone have any idea what the heck is happening with these mirrors?

If you hold the lock button on the fob for 1 second, the mirrors will fold in. Maybe you are somehow doing this when you remote start. Holding the unlock button for 1 second can unfold them, but it will (can) lower all of the windows too. To fold them back out, from inside the car, make sure the selector switch on the power mirror control is in the center (dot) position and push the down arrow on the 4 way control. If they are in the open position, doing this will fold them in.

thanks Lencarguy, funny know one at the dealership knew that. So let me ask another question. when I use the remote start I have to hit the lock
button first, correct? And then the remote start, so how do I prevent the mirrors from folding?

Don't hold in the lock button. Just hit it quickly.

Thanks, I did that works fine, bit I decided to turn the folding mirrors off. I have now discovered new problems, my alert vibrating seats do not vibrate on
the left or right, will warn me when backing up. The seats are set to vibrate, I had vibrating seats in my 2013 ATS, they worked very well.
