Did you guys see this? Looks like the Corvette camera upgrade actually improves, unlike the Escalade camera update.

http://gmauthority.com/blog/2015/04/2015-c7-corvettes-to-receive-pdr-camera-quality-update-in-the-near-future/

This is what the article states:

It’s something you really wouldn’t think about unless you were behind the wheel of a 2015 C7 Corvette, but according to many owners, the PDR system has a few issues. That’s not to say the PDR system hasn’t been well received.

The PDR system has picked up quite a few awards when it debuted alongside the C7 Corvette Stingray, including a few awards form the Consumer Electronics Show. The system came to fruition after Cosworth and the Corvette racing team spent many hours developing a system to support a full suite of electronic gizmos for customers to take advantage of.

Corvette Blogger has detailed how the PDR system has been plagued by what owners say is a strange yellow tinge on the picturedisplay quality. Owners also say the picture is sometimes grainy and even washed out looking.

It didn’t take long for an answer. Tadge Juechter, Corvette head, has already responded to the issues and here’s what he had to say:

“This is a perfect example of continuous improvement and backwards compatibility that I was asked about a couple weeks ago. GM engineering and our partner Cosworth have been working hard to improve the PDR and the user experience. One area of investigation has been the image quality. Coincidentally, a software change was just released for Bowling Green production at the end of March and we will be making it available to customers who already have their cars in the next few weeks. The software includes several changes including improvements in color balance and sharpness of the image on the video.”

that was a visible upgrade to the picture image in the corvette.
it does not look like it was a fish eye lens but a regular high resolution camera and lens.
