Could anyone tell me what bulb I need to replace my headlight bulbs? I have a 2015 cts which I believe is a base model has regular bulbs in it not factory hids. I replaced the stock bulbs with leds a while back, I want to switch to hids but I don’t know which bulb to get. I ordered h11 bulbs but they don’t fit.

....... and to go to HID (High Intensity Discharge) you have to replace the entire headlamp wiring system due to the greater current draw and necessity for high voltage ballasts to trigger the electric arc in the bulb. HIDs use an electric arc in plasma to produce light, not a tungsten filament as in halogens.

If you're looking to put more light on the road using the stock system, install a set of PIAA Intense White halogens.
