I know much has been written on this subject for the US market, but as a Canadian owner I have 2 key fobs, Fob 2 which works perfectly and Fob 1 which the system indicates "no remote detected". It has a new battery, works the doors and tailgate but no start unless in the console key holder. Also when both fobs are in the car #1 seems to sense Fob #2 and the horn blows a warning when exiting the vehicle, closing the doors or locking, using either the outside door buttons or the fob itself?
Apparently in the US a person can re-program the faulty fob but not in Canada? (according to what I read). Seems pretty stupid to me for a $60,000 vehicle, which Cadillac professes to be their premier vehicle of choice.
Any comments or fixes out there or would someone from GM care to chime in? Dealer says perhaps I should get a new fob even though this unit tests good at their facility and we have tried 3 brand new batteries.

Our 2014 gets confused when 2 fobs are in the car as well. Horn chirps when leaving the vehicle. Stuff like that but no vehicle functions are interrupted so no big deal to us.
You may have luck deprogramming then reprogramming your fob. Page 2-6 in your manual.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
