it is near the center, it is made of hard plastic and shaped like a handle. it glows in the dark.
Pull the release handle toward the front of the vehicle to open the trunk. Emergency Trunk Release

I found this I will keep looking '
There are three 19mm nuts on the bottom of the backrest. Then unbolted the 4 or 3 10 mm (silver) nuts behind the seat. You have to get into trunk or reach really far to get back. They're located towards the top of the back seat and run across horizontally.

Then pull the seat forward from inside the car and it should release

yes a found some sites that show the 3 top bolts that hold the top of the back seat and they can not be reached from the front.
I am sure this has happened to someone some where before but I can't find out how to reach the release handle.

best call a few Cadillac dealers and ask them how to do it. There is a Cadillac factory monitor that is on this site but I do not know how to reach them. I see him post at times.

The handle is mounted on the inside of the trunk lid a bit to the left. It is attached to a wire and the handle nests into a small indentation.
If there is nothing there, is there at least a small hole? Perhaps the wire was cut and the handle got lost?
