Hi, I have a 2014 ATS 2.0t luxury. I do not have the OnStar bluetooth, but I usually connect my phone via USB. I am having trouble being able to play my music (Spotify) through my car (sometimes, but very rarely, my music will work). I have an iPhone XR, but not sure if that makes a difference. When I plug my phone in, it will say that is is connected through bluetooth and I will press "media" on my car. However, when I go to play my music, either nothing will show up on the screen, or the song name will show up but nothing will play. In this case, my phone will say that the song is "playing", but the screen in my car will say "0:00-0:00". And to also mention, my friend has the same exact phone and plugged her phone in to see if it would work, and it immediately started playing her music. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Just a guess: See if her music has a different format than yours.

I play USB drive music and it has to be a certain format on a Thumb drive, like MP3.
But I'm also confused why I have gotten my phone to connect and Spotify to play perfectly fine through my car sometimes. It's as if my car picks and chooses when it wants to play the music. Like my phone will say it's playing, but then my car will say "0:00" for the song and there will be no sound. I have deleted my phone from my car and reconnected it multiple times and it does not work. I wonder if I could share a video to explain it better.
