2013 SRX front wheel with low miles, 30,000, has a "whopping" sound from front end only when pushing accerlator and especially when 20-35 MPH (Almost sounds like bad tire belt but its not). Ruled out tires, bearing, struts. Had to several mechanics and no resolve. Again only when accerlating. Seems to subside away when warmed up. Please help.

My 2013 SRX sounded the same at first then on a curve also. I thought the tires were getting a little worn but only had 25000 miles but changed because I got a great price. The noise was worse took to dealer and they found front right wheel bearing bad not covered by warranty.

Had the drive shaft replaced, because hanger bearings bad and rusted.
No more rattle on acceleration and a greatly diminished whoop whoop sound still persists on hard acceleration
also was able to go back to regular gas and now have quiet smooth engine
DIY
I replaced the upstream oxygen sensor(even though there was no code) on my 2013 SRX and now my whop whop at acceleration is gone. found the sensor on Ebay and the ratchet attachment for oxygen sensor removal
Also WD -40 is not a penetrating oil so I bought Free ALL penetrating oil sprayed on and 20 minutes later it was removed.
Now on to my next problem heated seats. CUE works, fuses good I will keep on it
THX everybody

I am sorry I did get about 8 code warnings about a month a go when my panoramic weep holes became clogged and flooded my rear compartment. One new lift gate actuator later and after removing a very small acorn from drain hole in channel of roof window . I then went on you tube and found a guy that said before you replace any of the sensors try a new Mass airflow sensor I did that it was easy I cleared the codes and they didn't come back, A week later I was still thinking about that whop whop sound at WOT. I saw how accessible that O2 sensor was and thought why not try a new one. After I removed my old sensor which was very dirty and really gunked up so that did it. Caddy runs great now.
