Hello!
I was wondering if I could get some vehicle information.
I've read conflicting reports. I've read that the base model 2013 CTS Coupe comes with halogen lights, and that the 2013 CTS Performance Coupe comes with HIDs stock.
I'm looking at changing my headlights to these babies - http://www.carid.com/2013-cadillac-cts-headlights/spec-d-projector-headlights-with-led-38833780.html
These headlights, however, are projector headlights. I read a review where the lights themselves are dimmer compared to the stock headlights.
I'd like to upgrade the bulbs in these aftermarket headlights to HID to compensate for the dimness. If there was already a factory ballast installed, then couldn't I simply replace the bulbs in the aftermarket Spec-D lights and maintain the same amount of lighting? I've read in a review that someone has already replaced everything with a HID kit, but I'm looking to avoid installing a HID kit if I could just get away with different bulbs.
This is my first 'major' vehicle project, so feel free to correct me if I'm vastly oversimplifying
