I’m looking to purchase a 2012 Escalade with 108k miles? It’s priced at $22k.
I’m wondering if anyone has this car with this mileage and if I should be afraid it will not last without major problems.

I would spend the money on a Cadillac inspection. The air ride/MRC shocks in back can be pricey. I changed out the shocks and compressor when mine went bad. Also, the MRC front struts are crazy expensive so make sure they are not leaking. I believe the AFM is a 2012 issue as well. There can be valve train issues associated with the active fuel management. Some guys disable it. I had to replace a engine at 126k because of it. I cannot remember if it is drivers side but one of the motor mounts generally goes out quicker than the other.

They cars do require some money to maintain but hard to beat once dialed in. The headlight bulb and ballast are crazy expensive from the dealer but parts can be found cheaper, just ask the forum.

I purchased my 2012 last winter with 105k. It needed a rear shock on the trip home from PA. Since then I've changed a wheel bearing and a motor mount. All of which go around this mileage. No other issues. I've anticipated this though, with the help of this forum. I recommend changing ALL fluids if you decide to purchase. Good luck, it's a great truck.

I just purchased at 2012 earlier this year that had just over 100k miles. If you decide to purchase it, I highly recommend disabling the AFM right out of the gate, followed by changing all fluids since it's pretty much due for that at the mileage you provided.

I wound up getting a stuck lifter just a couple months ago due to AFM and had to tear down a third of the motor to fix it, followed by disabling AFM completely. I got lucky that the camshaft didn't get damaged.

Other than a power steering pump that's slowly on its way out, the rest of the vehicle has been solid. I got the ESV Platinum model and love the size, interior space, and features. You won't be disappointed, but as pktrusty pointed out above, be prepared to spend more than just what you're spending on the initial purchase between fuel and general maintenance since you're going to be spending more for certain replacement parts compared to other vehicles.
