So I finally got around to doing some more work to my coupe. What do you guys think? I also blacked out the rest of the chrome today. I will post some pics of that when I get it cleaned up.

Thanks! The headlights were not fun. I already had the bumper off to do the grille so I figured why not. Unfortunately Cadillac changed what they seal the headlights with and it took forever to separate the housing from the lenses.

I"m actually having that problem right now! as soon as I take the Headlights out of the Oven its like the Sealant hardens immediately.

How did you resolve this? did you raise the temperature? or just keep taking it out every 5mins from 200degrees.

BTW your car looks awesome.

We ended up doing 250 for about 15 minutes and just pried it apart. Honestly I don't know if heating it up actually did anything. We also used a razor to cut as much of the silicone as possible. When we pulled it apart we completely removed all the factory silicone and replaced it with a butyl sealant like most manufactures do. I have pressured washed it a few times and have driven in some pretty heavy rain and do far so good.

The headlights look great! Any chance there is a how-to thread to do that? Including what type of paint, where you can/cannot paint on the headlight, front bumper removal.. etc. Great looking Coupe.

Tbh I like how it looked with the chrome trim before you blacked it out. I really like the blacked out headlights with the halo look. Like many other people have asked, is there a guide on how to do it?

I particularly like the Cadillac symbol so I'm iffy on the symbol of the grille, but it makes sense in those pictures since it's parked at the airport lol
