Just wanted to let everyone know that my 2011 CTS-V Coupe came off the assembly line yesterday, 2/9/11. I can't wait for the car to get here.

I wanted to really publicly thank James Quinn at Les Stanford Cadillac for taking care of me, yet again. He went above and beyond to get me this car built this way, when it simply wasn't possible. He got things done I didn't know were possible at GM. This is my 3rd new Cadillac purchase through him in the last year and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. He knows what customer service is all about. I urge you to email him, just to see him in action. You will be amazed at how he treats you and how he doesn't waste any time getting back to you with any questions you may have. He really is the best of the best in the industry!

Here is his info in case anyone here is interested in ordering a car through him:

James C. Quinn
Les Stanford Chevrolet-Cadillac, Dearborn, MI
313.724.1430 Direct

I didn't know about this, but check out this link to my VIN # and build sheet on the Cadillac website:

Good to know there is another Cadillac dealer doing what they should be doing...delivering great customer care. My dealer Sewell Cadillac/Saab of Grapevine, Texas also delivers great service and why I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Post up some pics of the ride whn it gets here.

Me too! The color is so new and I have only seen pics of it online and indoors. From what I have seen so far, I really like it! I can't way to see it in the So Cal sun. Car should hopefully be here in two weeks from the time it ships from the factory.

Interesting, unless I'm missing something. For $4,850 you get the special paint, SG wheels/yellow calipers, Recaros, and wood trim. Equip, say a Thunder Gray finish, and the same options come to $5,795.
What it amounts to is no extra charge of the finish, but you are required to take the list of options.

BOYCHIKS,

I actually put in an order for the Thundergray paint, but a couple days after I put my order in, I heard about the Black Diamond paint, so I inquired with James at Les Stanford about it and he surprised me by getting it done. He saved me $995.00 and I have a unique color for now as the paint code is on constraint according to GM. I got the first one built for retail sale. The first test run of the Black Diamond was for GM media/press purposes.

I can't wait to see the car in person! It should be sweet in the sun! Looks more like charcoal gray which is what I always wanted in the CTS-V!

I got GM preferred pricing and I have about $7K in rebates that I am using. $6K GM Extended Family Card earnings and $1K GM loyalty cash for the month of February. I have yet to do the actual paperwork with Les Stanford. I will have final figures today or tomorrow.

elphil,

That is correct. They don't charge you for the Black Diamond paint, but you are "forced" to take the other options. The options they "force" you to take were options I had already ordered when I initially put my order in for the Thundergray. I saved $995.00 which will drop my payment some. I am one happy camper!

I am leasing the car and I haven't decided if I want to do a 2 year or 3 year term. I will post the MSRP, GM Preferred Pricing, including all my rebates and what my payment will be including the Los Angeles County sales tax rate of: 9.75%. I won't have a real out the door price like you do with a traditional finance to buy type deal.

Glad you got the Borla in good shape. Borla packaged it up and shipped it to our shop, so it was ready to go. Did you notice how much weight the car lost from the stock exhaust to the Borla? Borla makes the best V8 sounding exhaust for the CTS-V. I am surprised that more forum members don't have it.

yeah that stock exhaust with the 3 pancake areas of flatness was a heavy beast. especially the mufflers.

I agree....I've been very pleased with James and his service thus far. I noticed I hadn't received any status updates with my build order and was about to call James. I opened my e-mail and saw a message from James. He was checking on it for me and had already called his contacts and got them to update everything properly before I even had a chance to ask. I am impressed. Now if he could just make the four weeks fly by I'd be ecstatic.

James is the man! Trust me, it will fly right by. I feel like I just ordered my car and it is already built! I ordered the car January 3. James just emailed me and told me my car will be here in Los Angeles around the 22nd of this month! That's not bad transit time, from Michigan to L.A. in about a week and a half considering how bad the weather is everywhere.

Did you sign up at GMconnects.com for automatic updates?

Congrats and I'm sure the Black Diamond paint is going to look amazing. My Black/Black w/satin wheel/yellow calipers also came off the assembly line yesterday (the 9th). Did your salesman tell you when the car would be loaded onto a carrier and/or train for transit? I know you mentioned it would get there around the 22nd but I'm trying to get an idea of when mine will arrive in Cincinnati (300 miles from Lansing). My salesman said he is 'trying' to get it here by Monday, but having it here Saturday will do the trick!

Again, congratulations!

DoingOK,

James told me your status is at 3000 and your order is looking good! Keep me posted!

keepupp,

My V coupe came off the assembly line yesterday as well! It takes 2.5 days to build a CTS according to GM, which means they started building our cars on 2-7 and finished on 2-9. James at Les Stanford told me that my car should arrive here in L.A. by the 22nd as that is the deadline before the flooring charges start accruing. He will keep me posted like he has on my last 2 vehicle purchases as to where my car is every step of the way. He can track my car from the factory to my local dealer where the courtesy delivery will be taking place. You should have your car much sooner than I will have mine. I can't wait to see the Black Diamond paint in person and in the L.A. sun!

It looks great! I saw it at the recent Cadillac V-Series Performance Driving event. It was a sedan as well, but it looked damn good! Do what I did to pass the time and just spend everyday on this forum. It made my wait time go by REAL fast!
