2010 ESV suspension - how stiff is too stiff?
I have a used 2010 ESV lux with 22s that i recently purchased with 75K on the ODO. Yesterday I noticed that when driving at high speeds over expansion joints that the suspension was bucking diagonally like the right rear shock lost some damping.
With the ignition off I can barely get the front to move when I put my weight on the front quarter panel over each wheel. When I do a bounce test on each rear side i get several bounces and a bit side to side. I believe that my rears are shot. However I am questioning the front as well. From reading other posts it seems that the fronts can fail in a manner that they become stiffer but I also know that the front is stiffer due to more weight on the front. How stiff is too stiff for the fronts? Should I expect to see movement on a bounce test?
