I'm looking at a 2014 2.0Turbo rwd to replace my 2009 6spd rwd. I have studded winter snows mounted on my original 17" wheels. Does anyone know if they will fit the 2014?

Thanks

Chris

I'm thinkin' Brembo clearance may be problematic up front. The base '14+ cars come with 17" wheels, but I don't know how the spoke design compares; the Brembo opposed piston calipers stick out farther from the face of the rotor, and the backs of the spokes of the '09 wheels might not have enough space to clear.

If you were hoping to use the same tires (in addition to the same wheels), it's worth noting that the '14+ cars come with smaller diameter tires - the base tire is a 245/45-17, compared to a 235/55-17 on a base '09. That's a 1.5" (38mm) difference in diameter, which is significant - nearly a 6% error in the speedometer and odometer.

I think you need to be in the Gen III forum.
