I purchased a 2009 DTS and it did not have a garage door opener remote. My dealer says he does not sell them. Is there any way I can get one and have it installed?

Doesn't it have three buttons right at the rear of the overhead console?

If so...that is the HOMELINK system.
Automatic garage door opener.
You can program a separate door/gate for each button.

Yikes! I didn't know that you could get a DTS without the built-in garage door opener. However, it turns out that the two lowest priced models don't include it. How you go about getting one on a DTS that doesn't have one probably involves buying replacement parts and having it installed - very expensive. This assumes that the existing cable assembly has the necesssary wiring and connector for the built-in garage door opener. If the wiring and connector are not present on those models, then trying to install one after the fact could become very, very expensive. I would suggest using the remote you have and forget about a built-in.
